Connie Heye, MPH Ms. Heye's quantitative skills are invaluable to projects which require
data gathering and analysis. Her work includes designing and developing
data collection tools; statistical analysis; and developing reports and
communication strategies, especially those that involve quantitative data.
Ms. Heye feels that "making research accessible and useful to communities
in need is the most rewarding part of my job."
Katy Lawder, MA, MPH Ms. Lawder has lived and worked for many years in Africa, Central America
and the former Soviet Union for organizations including USAID, the UN,
and other Non-Governmental Organizations. Ms. Lawder's consulting work
with dHA includes: project management, focus group facilitation and program
evaluation. Ms. Lawder applies her experience in the developing world
to do community-based research. 'I love getting people who have never
participated in the research process engaged. It's an exciting challenge."
Melissa McGarry, BA Ms. McGarry offers almost 10 years of management experience in customer
service operations to the firm. In addition, her strong project and financial
management experience and technical writing and editing skills have proven
invaluable to both the firm and its clients. Ms. McGarry enjoys "working
directly with the affected communities."
Dianna Miller, MA Ms. Miller comes to dHA with two years of experience as a grant writer
for the City of Bridgeport where she raised close to $2 million in funds.
These grants primarily focused on economic development, environmental
and cultural arts initiatives. Dianna previously worked in a community
health center as a grantwriter for three years and has a unique perspective
on the needs of Connecticut's cities and working class residents. dHA
Grantwriting Assistance
Nina Chanana, MPA Ms. Chanana is now working for dHA as a qualitative consultant. After
receiving her public policy degree in child and family services she worked
at the Yale Bush Center in Child Development and Social Policy. There
her research focused on early childhood education, child care, and Head
Start.
Trina Kurek, BA Ms. Kurek has recently joined the dHA staff as a part-time Research
Assistant. Her previous experience at Stanford University working in the
Psychosocial Treatment Laboratory has given her experience in data base
management, data analysis, grant preparation, and all general research
duties.
Tammy Crews Ms. Crews, also new to our staff, will now be managing all billing,
invoicing and contracts for dHA. You may not see or hear from her often
but all of us at the firm love having someone to take on these tasks!
